Edinburgh, Fountainbridge

A £75 million canalside mixed use and residential development close to the centre of Edinburgh. Formerly the site of the Fountain Brewery, then proposed as the location for the global headquarters of HBOS before the credit crunch, the site has been vacant since 2004.

Amco first secured a part of the 2.5 acre site on behalf of Union Hanover Securities in 2014, following which they agreed off-market terms to acquire the rest of the site. Masterplanned for 13,000 sq.m of offices, 1,700 sq.m of retail/commercial and 78 apartments, this site represents one of the last major developments in Edinburgh City Centre.

A Minded to Grant PPP consent was obtained in April 2015.
